Today, the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki is mourning the painful loss of its Director, the distinguished archaeologist Evangelia Stefani.

Liana lived with power and passion, with courtesy, morality, deep scientific knowledge and true worship for her work and the people around her. Her glowing smile transformed the workplace into a place of inspiration and creativity.

Our colleague, our director, our friend, left us after struggling with dignity and bravery in the most difficult and unfair battle of her life. We will always have her in our heart.
