Chamber Music Concert at the Museum Entrance Hall "Two flutes, one piano"

The Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki, in collaboration with the Angelini-Hatzinikou Foundation, is organizing a concert for two flutes and piano.

The musical ensemble consists of distinguished musicians: Dimitris Dimopoulos (piano) from the Dimopoulos Conservatory in Kozani, Nicolos Dimopoulos (flute) from the State Orchestra of Thessaloniki, and Giorgos Tsiardakas (flute) from the Larissa Municipal Conservatory.

The musicians are participating voluntarily to support the Horto Festival, which has been held in South Pelion since 1984. The proceeds from the concert will be allocated for the repair of the festival venues, which suffered severe damage due to the September 2023 floods.

The 90-minute musical program will include two works by Dimitris Andrikopoulos (Luna Llena) and Dimitris Doxakis (In my end is my beginning), dedicated to the memory of Giorgos Hatzinikos, the founder of the Horto Festival in South Pelion. The rest of the program will feature works by J.S. Bach (Trio Sonata in G Major), F. Doppler (Andante and Rondo, Op. 25), and F. Kuhlau (Trio for piano and two flutes, Op. 119). Both Greek composers will be present at the concert.
